Abstract
Current research shows the development of a first approximation algorithm ofDenaturing Gradient Gel Electrophoresis (DGGE) band image identification.The proposed algorithm considered the use of artificial neural networks basedon deformable connectionist models subjected to an evolutionary algorithm.
