BibliotecAR: Realidade Aumentada em um Sistema Android para Auxílio de Localização de Livros em uma Biblioteca

Abstract

Although all libraries using a standardized alpha-numeric identification of books, each library has a physical organization. Thus, new users or people with low vision may have difficulty finding a book quickly and without the need for library staff. Given this scenario and, using the Augmented Reality technology, a prototype was developed for the Android platform for mobile devices. This prototype aims to help people find books in a library is not virtual, quickly and assertively with digital images indicative of the actual image captured by the camera and displayed on the display device. The applicability of the technology in this context is one of the presented contributions.
