Abstract

This article summarizes a study which purpose was to determine simulation software influence in teaching concepts and fundamentals in the subject Redes de Computadoras I at the National University of Salta. Even though the study was based on one University, the situation described and analyzed is similar in many others. The quantitative study was an experimental design with control group. Parametric tests led to the conclusion that there is statistically significant difference in favor of students who used a strategy based on simulation.
