Tool for the Detection of Affective State of Students

Abstract
This paper proposes a software tool that, based on the analysis of the text written by students participating in an educational platform, allows to infer the affective state, through the identification of words that express emotions. The teacher will be informed about the affective state of his students,so that he can make decisions about modifying the contents or structure of his course, in case of noticing disagreement. This will help to promote theirlearning. For the proposed tool, a custom lexicon was used for the education area and refined by a specialist in psychology and education.
